I was really motivated to workout today. I didn't want to miss another day and be a day less prepared. Additionally, to possibly prevent further injury, I mixed up the routine a whole bunch to include more body-weight exercises (as opposed to weighted exercise, i.e.: squats with bar, bench, bicep curls, etc).

- Followed bike a 4 minute tabata sprint
6 sets of Deadlifts, 2 reps each (30-45 sec rest)

3 sets of Dips, 10 reps (1 min rest)
3 sets of Wide Grip Pull-ups, 10 reps (1 min rest)
6 sets of Power Cleans, 2 reps each (30-45 sec rest)

- Feet on Stability Ball
3 sets of Plyometric Push-ups, 10 reps (1-1.5 min rest)

2 sets of Leg Raises, 20 reps (1 min rest)
- 10 sec leg lifts immediately after
2 sets of Russian Twist, 20 rotations (1 min rest)

I have 2 fulls weeks of training, plus just about another week before my fight. Though I am somewhat confident in my skills as a fighter and not very worried on weight, there is that lingering self-doubt that is bound to stir up negative thinking. Trying to keep positive and confident in myself so that my insecurities don't eat me alive.
Half the game is mental and heart, the other half is condition. If both are equal, then the more skilled will win.
I try to keep this quote in mind:
"Any emotion you have to support you is good. A little anger, a little fear, little insecurity, but once it takes over... you are a victim to your emotion."
- Rob Kaman
While searching for this quote I stumbled across something that I wrote fairly recently on my facebook. An interesting, albeit grammatically incorrect passage at times (as I always am), but I think I'll end this post with it:
I say "I like" and "I try" because that's all I can do and, sometimes, I don't always succeed. So, at the end of the day, if I was lacking somewhere a little, all I can do is say I gave my best and try even harder tomorrow.
And if I exceeded expectations... well it's all in a day's work of being Fantastic.

God Bless you all and Stay Fantastic,
